Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of BasketToTable (the "Service"), operated by BasketToTable [ATTORNEY REVIEW: LLC name once formed]. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is — and how AI is involved
BasketToTable generates weekly meal plans, recipes, recipe images, shopping lists, and related suggestions using artificial intelligence, informed by the preferences, budget, allergy information, and store selection you provide, and by sale data from participating grocery sources. Recipes, images, translations, and assistant chat responses are AI-generated content. AI can make mistakes; the Service is a planning aid, not a substitute for your own judgment.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to create an account. The Service is designed for household use by the adult account holder.
4. Allergies and food safety — please read carefully
BasketToTable helps your family plan meals around allergies and preferences you tell us about, and our AI is instructed to keep those ingredients out of your plans. But we cannot see the actual products you buy. Ingredients, recipes, and manufacturing processes change, and packaged foods may contain — or be cross-contaminated with — allergens that do not appear in a recipe's ingredient list. You agree to always read product labels and verify every ingredient before purchasing or serving food, especially where a severe allergy is involved.
Recipes are suggestions. Safe food handling — including cooking meats, poultry, seafood, and eggs to safe internal temperatures, avoiding cross-contact, and proper storage — is your responsibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BasketToTable is not liable for allergic reactions, foodborne illness, or other harm resulting from food you choose to purchase, prepare, or consume.
5. Not medical advice
BasketToTable provides general meal-planning information for convenience and inspiration. It is not medical, nutritional, or dietetic advice and is not a substitute for guidance from a physician or registered dietitian. If you or a family member has a medical condition or special dietary needs, consult a qualified professional before relying on any meal plan. The Sous-Chef assistant is an AI feature, not a licensed professional service.
6. Prices and sale data
Sale items, prices, and estimated costs shown in the Service come from third-party sources and AI estimation, and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Actual prices are set by stores and can differ at checkout. Estimated savings are calculated by comparing sale prices against regular prices on matched items and are estimates only.
7. Subscriptions, trials, and cancellation
BasketToTable offers a free plan and a paid Premium subscription at the price shown at signup (currently $19.99/month), which renews automatically each month until canceled. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial; a payment method is required to start the trial, and the subscription begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first. You can cancel anytime in Settings → Manage subscription — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store your card number. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: refund policy.]
8. Your account and acceptable use
Keep your login credentials secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt it, scrape it, resell it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to generate unlawful or harmful content.
9. Intellectual property
BasketToTable owns the Service, including its software, design, and content library. You may use recipes, plans, and lists generated for your account for personal, non-commercial household purposes. Ratings and similar feedback you submit may be used to improve the Service (for example, community star ratings).
10. Third-party services
The Service connects to third parties — including grocery data providers (such as Kroger and Instacart), Stripe for payments, and OpenAI for AI generation. Their trademarks belong to them; BasketToTable is not endorsed by or affiliated with them. Links or carts handed off to third-party sites are governed by those sites' terms. Where links are affiliate links, we may earn a commission.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BASKETTOTABLE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify BasketToTable against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (4, 5, 11–13) survive termination.
15. Changes; governing law; disputes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use after changes means acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of [ATTORNEY REVIEW: state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: arbitration clause and class-action waiver — decision reserved for counsel.]
